Carm recently announced that his debut album will hit streaming platforms on September 11th.
Ev Carm has returned with a contemplative visual companion to his sophomore single, 'Looking For You', which premiered last week on Hot Press.
The fragmented video, shot and directed by televisi6n (Leo Clarke), is an ode to Dublin. “Leo and I had met at an exhibition of his work with the collective 'Art Club' in Pallas Projects a few months prior to making this video and I had been looking for an excuse to work with him after that," Carm explains of the collaborative project.
"Around December last year I realised I had a collection of songs, so I sent them on to Leo to see if there were any he could see himself doing a video for. 'Looking For You' was the one he came back with. About a week later we went out with Tom, without any real plan, and filmed the majority of the video. We ended up spending a lot of time together and becoming really close immediately after that.
"Leo is never without his camera and always filming, so some of that footage made it into the video. He filmed us getting tattoos in my apartment from our friend Jack Marmion, and us spending time at our friend Peggie McKeon's home. Both are artists also involved in 'Art Club', and helped me a lot while I was making this record.”

Clarke's detached, documentarian style beautifully highlights the sense of yearning in Carm's warm vocal tone.
