Our much sat-upon sofas are in their flight-cases and ready to head down to Stradbally as the Hot Press Chatroom makes its Electric Picnic return.

Open throughout the weekend in Mindfield, we’ll be hosting public interviews, acoustic sessions and lively debates with some of your favourite Picnic stars.

It’s also your chance to meet the Hot Press team (Kate Brayden, Lucy O'Toole, Pat Carty, Jess Murray, Molly Cantwell and Stuart Clark are all in training as we speak), grab some swag – and selfies! - and join in the conversations.

Now very much part of Stradbally ‘lore, the Chatroom has been graced in the past by such heavy hitters as New Order, Public Enemy, Garbage, The Roots, Primal Scream, The Flaming Lips, ChVrches, Bob Geldof, Picture This, Wolf Alice, Fontaines D.C. and The Coronas.

Among those sinking into the sofa this year are The Murder Capital, Pa Sheehy, Tebi Rex, Ispíní na hÉireann, Thumper, These Charming Men, Brad Heidi, Kingfishr and a 20th birthday celebrating HamsandwicH (bring cakes and pressies!)

Following the success of last year’s mental health panel discussion, we’re welcoming the Minding Creative Minds team back for a very special event...
