The news of an upcoming release date for the Lana Del Rey's new album was greeted with an awe-struck response at5 her electrifying show at Malahide last night. Hopefully it means that we'll be seeing her again soon too!
Lana Del Rey's highly anticipated sixth album, titled Norman Fucking Rockwell, is set for release in the next two months.
The pop-star broke the news to her adoring audience at Malahide Castle during her headline show at the Dublin venue last night. The record was announced back in 2018, but no release date was confirmed.
Her first album Born To Die premiered back in 2012 and was the fifth best selling album of the year in the US. That's also been her most commercially successful album to date, though the has =grown in stature since as a major popular culture icon.
She has already dropped three singles from the upcoming album: 'Mariners Apartment Complex', 'Venice Bitch' and 'hope is a dangerous thing for a woman like me to have – but i have it'.
Earlier this year, she also announced her plans to publish a book of poems, Violet Bent Backwards Over the Grass, selling at the hugely accessible price of $1.
This was Lana Del Rey's first concert in Ireland since she wowed crowds at Electric Picnic in 2016 as one of the headliners.

Since her debut single, 'Video Games', Del Rey has slowly climbed up the ranks and crystallised her position as one of the stand-out artists of this decade. She is celebrated for her thematic albums and keen eye for aesthetics.
Her fourth album, Honeymoon, hit No.1 on the Irish album charts back in 2015.
The track 'Summertime Sadness' was remixed by DJ Cedric Gervais and amassed 128 million views on Youtube.
She recently released a cover of Sublime's '90's hit 'Doin' Time'.
