Dublin alternative rock outfit Fight Like Apes are back to headline the 3Olympia theatre on Friday, 24th March 2023.
Fourteen years since the release of their acclaimed debut album Fight Like Apes and The Mystery of The Golden Medallion, Fight Like Apes are returning to headline the 3Olympia Theatre on Friday, 24th March 2023.
Almost six years since they announced their split as a band, the Dublin alternative rock outfit are celebrating the vinyl re-release of their classic debut.
Tickets from €26.90 including booking fee are on sale Friday, 17th June at 9am. €1 from every ticket sold will be donated to The Irish Youth Foundation. The charity exists to ensure that those children get the same opportunities to reach their full potential. This now includes many young Ukrainian people coming to Ireland.
Released in 2008, Fight Like Apes and The Golden Medallion has long been unavailable on vinyl. Until now, that is. On Friday, September 9th, Rubyworks will release the album on a strictly limited edition (750 numbered worldwide) pressing on 140g red/white splattered wax, newly remastered and freshly cut at Air Studios in London.
The gatefold sleeve will also include a bonus 7” EP (also on red/white splattered vinyl) of favourite B-sides.
This show will see the band return to the stage for the first time in eight years to play some of their biggest hits from across their three album and multiple EP discography.

Named after a quote from the movie Battle For The Planet of The Apes, Fight Like Apes first formed in 2006, and released their debut project How am I Supposed To Kill You If You Have All The Guns? a year later. This was quickly followed in November of the same year by David Carradine is a Bounty Hunter Whos Robotic Arm Hates Your Crotch.
Three albums later and following tours with the likes of The Prodigy, The Ting Tings, New Found Glory and Kasabian, the band are back with a bang to lift up the LP that started everything off.
