As every star on the planet seems to be asked about the Harvey Weinstein sex scandal, Björk recalled the time she made a movie and claimed that she had suffered at the hands of an unnamed film director.
She went as far as to say it was a Danish director who "punished" her on the filmset for not sleeping with him.
"When I turned the director down repeatedly he sulked and punished me and created for his team an impressive net of illusion where I was framed as the difficult one," she said in a statement during the weekend.
It isn't hard to put two and two together and come up with the name Lars Von Trier who just happens to be Danish. The Icelandic singer starred in his critically acclaimed film 'Dancer In The Dark', which also happens to be her only major movie role.
Now the Danish film director told a newspaper in his home country that Björk's allegations “were not the case”.
But rather than insult the woman he went on instead to praise her by stating that she "delivered one of the greatest performances" of any actor he's ever worked with on his movies.
The movie's co-producer Peter Aalbaek Jensen also spoke to the Danish media about Björk’s claims. He said: “As far as I remember, we were victims. That woman was stronger than both Lars Von Trier and me and our company together.”
