Be sure to tune in tonight for this extra special livestream!
As Christian Wethered and Sonic Furs gear up for the release of their respective highly-anticipated debut albums, these two immensely talented acts are participating in a joint livestream from Dublin's The Sound House tonight (July 16).
Hosted by Colm Slattery, the event will begin at 7.30pm and include interviews with the musicians. Tickets are still on sale via Eventbrite for €7, so act fast!
Christian Wethered is a Dublin-based poet and musician, whose upcoming debut album Mon Petit Jardin takes influence from the likes of Laura Marling, Iron and Wine and Nick Cave. He uses visceral poetry and raw, emphatic instrumentation to address complex themes of love, heartbreak, and growing up. His debut poetry book, I Don’t Love You, won the Melita Hume Prize in 2021.
Sonic Furs, comprising Tommy Furs, Jessy Danner, Andy McGurk and Ruairí Lenaghan are a multi-faceted transatlantic Pop/rock band hailing from various parts of Ireland and America. The quartet are finally ready to begin sharing songs from their debut album Modern Vice, having spent the pandemic lockdown painstakingly tracking the record (when restrictions allowed, of course)! Their high-energy, unpredictable set will surely see you dancing around your kitchen, while Wethered's will offer some poignant introspection. This is one live stream that's not-to-be-missed!
