This will be the band's first Irish shows since they headlined Slane Castle in 2015.
Dave Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel, Chris Shiflett, Pat Smear and Rami Jaffee kicked off 2018 by playing an Australian/New Zealand stadium tour followed by three sell-out shows at some of the world's biggest music venues such as Madison Square Garden, Fenway Park, Wrigley Field and London Stadium.
In a remarkable year, 2018 also marked the second installment of the Foo Fighters' own CalJam festival with an all-hits Foo Fighters headline set, in addition to a rare Iggy Pop reunion and appearances from Joan Jett, Brody Dalle, and John McCauley.
Now the "Best of You" singers have announced two Irish dates, one at the RDS Dublin on the 21st August and another headlining the Vital Festival in Belfast on the 19th of August at Boucher Road.
This will mark the band's first return to Ireland in four years since their headline show at Slane Castle in 2015.
The Foo Fighter's will bring their tour, which the Rolling Stones described as “explosive and euphoric… wild and combustible… a show of enthusiasm that has grown over decades,” to Denmark, Norway and Croatia in advance of their Irish dates.
