It is a "festival within a festival," coined event creator Philip Meagher.
Forest Fest has just released the finalised lineup for the festivals' highly anticipated Fleadh stage, featuring Paul Brady, Sharon Shannon and more.
The indie music festival decided to recognise its folk and trad programme on its own stage this year, giving the genre's performers a distinct platform amongst the festivals' other acts.
“Following on from the success of our inaugural Forest Fest last summer it was evident that the renaissance of Irish trad alongside the burgeoning enthusiasm among the innovative new talent in the genre deserved its own special place at our festival," said event founder Philip Meagher.
The lineup features well known trad artists, such as Paul Brady and Sharon Shannon, along with up and coming talents. Meagher considers the lineup "sensational" and "worth the price of admission on its own."
