The Oscar winning star's like a raging bull in a china shop ever time he mentions the name Donald Trump. And last night TV censors had to bleep out parts of his speech at the Tony Awards 2018 when he started using foul language live on air.
As he was introducing Bruce Springsteen ahead of his performance at the awards ceremony, Robert De Niro said: "I just want to say one thing - Fuck Trump."
His words were met with a standing ovation.
It had TV bosses scrambling to censor his comments, with TV viewers unable to then make out what he said next, which was: "It’s no longer down with Trump. It’s fuck Trump." This too was met with a standing ovation from the audience.
Robert De Niro's hatred for Trump is one of the funniest things in the world ???

Prior to the 2016 US President elections, Robert De Niro recorded a video message in which he made it very clear that he didn't like the idea of Trump becoming the next US President. He colourfully described Trump as “a bozo”, a “a pig”, “a dog”, “a punk”, “a con”, “ a bullshit artist” and “an embarrassment to this country”.
He once played a boxing champ in Raging Bull, but now Hollywood actor Robert De Niro confessed that he’s like a bull in a china shop who would love to punch Donald Trump in order to teach him some manners!
He memorably added in the anti-Trump video that went viral: “He’s an idiot. Colin Powell said it best: he’s a national disaster… He talks how he’d like to punch people in the face – well, I’d like to punch him in the face.”
Asked in an interview last year if he’d still like to knock Trump’s lights out, De Niro didn’t pull any punches with his answer: “Of course I want to punch him in the face!”
De Niro added, “I said that because he said that about somebody that he would like to punch them in the face. How dare he say that to the crowd? How dare he say the things he does? It was only a symbolic thing, anyway. It wasn’t like I was going to go find him and punch him in the face. But he’s got to hear it. He’s got to hear that, you know, that’s how he makes people feel. It’s not good to feel that way. It’s not good to start that stuff up, but at the same time sometimes when people are bullies like that, that’s what you have to do to shut them up. Bully them back.”
