Galway singer-songwriter Niamh Regan has announced her debut tour of Australia with the support of Culture Ireland, due to take place this March.

The acclaimed musician has announced over a dozen Australian dates, starting in Scarborough on March 2nd and ending with a performance at the Yackandandah Folk Festival in Victoria on March 26th.

“Fresh out of the studio with the second album wrapped, I am beyond excited now to get on that plane and head to Australia and play,” Regan said in a statement. “I never thought I'd be so lucky to explore a new country through music. It's like a dream! I feel really grateful for this opportunity to tour my songs, so I want to say a big thanks to Culture Ireland and all the venues and festivals who are making it happen.”

The Choice Music Prize-nominated talent released her latest EP In The Meantime in March 2022, which entranced listeners with captivating stories and feelings of love, acceptance and uncertainty.

Previously, the acclaimed performer released her debut album Hemet in 2020 via Black Gate Records, which was nominated for the RTE Folk Awards’ and the Choice Awards’ Album of the Year. She also performed tracks from the album on The Late Late Show and Other Voices.

Regan has performed at festivals including Body & Soul, Another Love Story and Galway International Arts Festival, along with a sold out show at Hotel Café in Los Angeles.

Before starting her Australian tour, Regan will be playing at Folk Alliance International in Kansas City, U.S. from February 23rd to 27th.
