After shocking and thrilling with films like Irreversible and Enter the Void, French director and provocateur Gaspar Noe will return soon with his best reviewed movie yet, Climax.
Set in the mid 90s, the musical horror centres on a group of urban dancers (led by Kingsman's Sofia Boutella) who come together for a three-day rehearsal in a closed-down boarding school located within a forest. When someone drugs the group's sangria bowl, the dancers experience a hellishly bad trip.
The film screened in the Directors' Fortnight section at the prestigious 2018 Cannes Film Festival where it won the Art Cinema Award. It was then snapped up for release in the United States by acclaimed film distribution company A24.
Climax is currently sitting on an 85 per cent rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
