The Dublin singer-songwriter's sophomore effort is available to pre-order now. And make no mistake: Only Ticket Home promises to be a smash hit...
Ahead of the release of his hugely anticipated second album Only Ticket Home, Gavin James has announced that he will celebrate its launch by visiting a select number of record stores – where he will be meeting fans, performing songs from, and signing copies of, the album.
Getting this special promotion of Only Ticket Home underway, Gavin will be stopping off in Tower Records on Dawson Street on the 25th of October at 9pm; in Golden Discs in Dundrum on the 27th at 1pm; in Golden Discs in Newbridge, Co. Kildare the following day, October 8th at 2pm; and, finally, in the venue Cleere’s in Kilkenny, in association with Rollercoaster Records, at 2pm on November 1st.
Only Ticket Home looks certain to surpass the enormous success of the Dublin singer-songwriter's debut release in Bitter Pill, with its first two singles, 'Always' and 'Hearts On Fire', having already racked up the staggering return of in excess of 25 million and 13 million streams respectively – and that's just so far.
His most recent single off the album, 'Glow', looks set to follow suit: it is currently one of the most played songs on national radio, and for good reason. Gavin James has spoken about the song, which is accompanied by a music video set around various locations in Dublin that serve as references to his own career. "Glow is a song about modern day relationships," the singer reflected. "It’s the feeling you get when you know you’re in love with someone and it scares you at the same time. It’s pretty much about not giving up on something that could be amazing just out of fear, and then ultimately regretting it if you let go."

Only Ticket Home is set for release on the 26th of October, with a subsequent European tour in support of the album to kick off in January – after he plays Irish dates at the INEC in Killarney and the Royal Theater in Castlebar at the end of December.
