Dublin singer-songwriter Gavin James has been announced as the latest Irish act to join the stellar line-up at the upcoming Púca Festival, which takes place across Trim and Athboy this October. Tickets go on sale this Friday, 26th August at 10am.
Celebrating Ireland as the birthplace of Halloween for the fourth time this year, Púca has been described as an authentic, immersive, and otherworldly festival, which will comprise three breath-taking days of music, myth, food, folklore, fire, feasting and merriment.
James will be headlining the Púca Big Top Stage in Trim Castle on October 30th. Following the release of his number-one third studio album The Sweetest Part, featuring singles 'Circles', 'Jealous', and 'Kingdom' (all with beautifully heart-wrenching lyrics), the singer has garnered 1.8 billion streams on Spotify, one Diamond record, and 45 Platinum and Gold records globally.
The Dubliner has come a long way from his early days busking on Grafton Street, selling out his world tour and performing electric live shows with Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran, Niall Horan, and James Blunt. Promo for his new album also saw him perform at a number of select stores around the country, including a free gig at Golden Discs Dundrum in July.

Other artists that have been added to the Púca Festival bill include Irish singer, songwriter and poet Imelda May, who has been announced as a headliner in recent weeks. May and James join a well-rounded line-up featuring the King Kong Company, Block Rockin' Beats, Lisa Hannigan & Cathy Davey, HamsandwicH, Jerry Fish Electric Sideshow Cabaret, Dublin City Ramblers, ABBAesque, Joanne McNally, Blindboy, David O'Doherty, Neil Delamere, and Jason Byrne, with more acts yet to be announced.
The Halloween-themed festival also works in partnership with seanchaí storytellers and the local community, showcasing the best in contemporary Irish music, spectacle, and performance in Ireland's Ancient East over four stages - named after the goddess of the Boyne, Boann, the goddess of war, Morrigan, the faerie of mischief, Fear Dearg, and of course the main Púca stage.
