Mercury Prize-nominated singer-songwriter Gemma Hayes will hit the road in May 2022 with some very special guests.
Iconic Irish singer-songwriter Gemma Hayes is set to embark on an acoustic tour of the UK, alongside fellow musicians Jamie Jawson, Richard Walters and Laura Zocca.
Each artist will perform a song, followed by the next act, the show will move around from artist to artist, like a tag team of traditional singing troubadours on the tour. The performances will feature familiar songs plus original brand new music from each of the acts.
Hayes will stop off in London, Exeter, Manchester, Birmingham, Cardiff, Milton Keynes, Wimborne, Bexhill and Bristol on the jaunt, with tickets available here.

The Tipperary native's music career began when she signed a recording contract with French independent record label, Source Records in 2001. Under this label, Gemma Hayes would release her first EP 4.35am and its follow up Work to a Calm.
Hayes released her breathtaking debut album Night On My Side back in 2002 and was catapulted to instant fame on the Irish music scene. The Mercury Music Prize-nominated LP was home to beautiful songs like ‘Hanging Around,’ ‘Back Of My Hand’ and ‘Let A Good Thing Go.’ Co-produced by David Odlum and David Fridmann, Night On My Side was an instant classic and was cemented as one the greatest Irish albums of all time after its release. As part of Hot Press’ ‘Up Close and Personal’ series back in September of this year, the inimitable artist talked about the seminal project with Hot Press writer Lucy O’Toole.
The composer and artist's most recent single remains 2015's 'Palomino', following her 2014 fifth album Bones + Longing. Hayes confirmed that she planed to work on her sixth album last September, teaming up with some of the producers and musicians involved in the making of Night on My Side. The eagerly-awaited album is being recorded between West Cork and Dublin in Ireland with David Odlum acting as producer, but Covid has unfortunately delayed the release.
