Since he first began making music, God Knows has been held up as a mentor of the rap scene in Ireland. His next release, out via narolane records, follows 'Glory' from last August.
Limerick-based hip-hop sensation God Knows has announced the release of his new single 'TWELVE 61', featuring dancehall act Jah Master.
The track is due to land on June 21st. Previously, the rapper (Munyaradzi Jonas) dropped 'Glory' featuring the vocal stylings of Senita Appiakorang. The Amapiano track drew on the South African jazz and deep house rhythms that are making waves the world over.
His next single takes a u-turn completely, with the narolane records co-founder describing the impact of fathers and father figures in his life - including reggae icon Bob Marley.
"On this Juneteenth, Father’s Day, as I get ready to take a leap in a new direction I know I would not be here without my fathers!" a post from God Knows reads. "From Chief Mutota Makoni to CDE Dick ‘Chinx Chingaira’ Makoni to my Dad Godknows Snr I am grateful for their fight that gave us freedom! This one has my whole family’s involvement so it means so much more. I am grateful to everyone of you for giving me the permission and the power to run and be the man I am today!
"Yes that’s Bob Marley and Rita Marley with the late great CDE Chinx Chingaira who we lost on this day in 2017 WE MISS YOU SO MUCH!" the post adds. "My uncle was biggest inspiration when it comes to this music thing. I hope I am making you and the family proud Sekuru.

"Gratitude. Grateful to announce the release of my single."
As a collective, narolane records’ creative output conveys their ethos with surety, authenticity and unapologetic ambition. Following the release of his acclaimed Who's Asking? EP in 2020, God Knows returned with 'We Move The Needle' from his 2020 Who's Asking? EP Vol.II.
'TWELVE 61' features Jah Master (Real name Rodney Mashandure) - a Zimdancehall artist known mostly his colourful style, chanting style and trademark lyrics. His influence on the God Knows track is sure to be strong, given how generous the Architect of Irish Hip-Hop is on his collaborations.
