The popular sitcom, which ran for eight seasons between 1998 and 2006, is returning to our TV screens later this year.
The ninth season will run for 12 episodes, NBC has confirmed. "In the States, they’ve never brought a show back – the same exact show [with the] same cast, same director, same lighting designer,” says actress Megan Mullally. “The main priority is to have it be funny, and then I think it just goes from there.”
Megan also joked about what her character would be up to in 2017: "“People would ask me, ‘What do you think Karen will be doing now?’ I think she’ll be married to Donald Trump!'
This isn't the first time Will & Grace has technically made a return: they did a one-off short election presidential election scene last year. For those who missed it, you can check it out here:
“The fact that all four of the original stars were excited about getting back into production is a testament to the joyful experience they had doing nearly 200 episodes for eight seasons. Few things cut through the clutter these days, especially in comedy, and Will & Grace is one of the best," says NBC's President Jennifer Salke.
There's been a long-ish funny clip and and a short official trailer put up on social media websites this week to announce the return of the popular comedy show's new 12 episodes. You can check them out here...
