No place like homeless.
Grey Area is a collaboration of multiple artists acting to change the laws surrounding public art and to support the efforts of Inner City Helping Homeless (ICHH) to combat homelessness in Ireland. This Friday 26 October over 35 artists will exhibit 17ft high large-scale original murals. The murals will span over 2 floors at the Point Square Dublin, across from the 3 Arena.
Joe Caslin (@joecaslin), Subset Dublin (@subsetdublin), Kathrina Rupit (@kinmx) and Decoy (@decoy_art) are among artists to showcase their work in the exhibition. Grey Area aim to raise €30,000 on the night to support the efforts of ICHH as they combat the homelessness crisis. Recent figures reveal 9,874 people are homeless in Ireland. 3,824 of which are children and rapidly rising.

Tickets to the Grey Area Exhibition II are €30. All profits from ticket sales and project merchandise will be donated to ICHH. Limited edition prints will also be available to ticket holders, as well as a limited edition once off 64-page Grey Area magazine. Attendants can avail of free food and drinks by Rascals beer. ICHH was founded in November 2013 and now have over 200 volunteers with facilities open in a number of locations in the city. The organisation provides a 7 night a week outreach service all across Dublin City. In 2014, ICHH opened its first premises on Killarney Street, Dublin 1. This was shortly followed by the opening of an office on Amiens Street, Dublin 1 which opens 14 hours a day, 5 days a week. The ICHH outreach volunteers leave the Amiens offices at night equipped with tea, coffee, soup, pot noodles, sandwiches, fruit, water, hats, scarves, gloves, clothes and sleeping bags for those sleeping rough.
