The Fate of the Furious is the newest chapter of the franchise with tanks, ice-crushing submarines and Charlize Theron.
It's been 15 years since the original Fast and Furious movie came out and since then, there have been seven more F&F movies. The eighth installment, now officially known as The Fate and the Furious, comes out April of next year.
Now that Dom and Letty are on their honeymoon and Brian and Mia have retired from the game, and the rest of the crew has been exonerated, the team has found a semblance of a normal life. But when a mysterious woman seduces Dom into a world of crime he can't seem to escape, causing him to betray those closest to him, they will face trials that will test them as never before.
Charlize Theron plays the 'villain' in The Fate of the Furious. This is the first time that the villain is played by a female in the Fast & Furious franchise.
The film is directed by F. Gary Gray and will star Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris Bridges, Nathalie Emmanuel, Kurt Russell, Charlize Theron and Helen Mirren. It was filmed in New York City, Cuba and Iceland.
The Fate of the Furious marks the first film of the franchise other than The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006) not to star Paul Walker, who died in a car crash on November 30, 2013 during the filming of Furious 7.
The Fate of the Furious is scheduled to be released on April 14, 2017.
