HBO releases trailer for documentary about Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds
Bright Lights will air on January 7th, less than a month after the tragic deaths of Carrie Fisher and her mother Debbie Reynolds.
HBO has released the trailer for the upcoming documentary about mother-daughter actresses Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher. As the trailer shows, they remained close throughout their lives, and were even living as next-door neighbours. The film provides an intimate look at their family life and Fisher's struggles with manic-depressive disorder. With their whole family widely considered to be Hollywood royalty, the Fisher family was often in the public eye, though, as the film shows, the bond between the family, especially between Fisher and her mother, remained strong.
The documentary premiered at Cannes last year, where it received great acclaim for its portrayal of the balance between fame and family life. The film was directed by Alexis Bloom and Fisher Stevens. Watch the trailer below.
