Conor Harrington and Maser spoke to host Tara Kumar on the night about the inspiration behind their captivating Founder's Edition artwork.
The strong Irish roots of Richard Hennessy – the founder of the iconic Hennessy brand – were celebrated in The Round Room at The Mansion House in Dublin last night, with the launch of the brand new Hennessy Very Special (VS) Founder's Edition bottle.
Renowned Irish artists Maser and Conor Harrington, who created the artwork and bottle design to mark what would have been Richard Hennessy's 300th birthday, were among those in attendance. The pair explained their creative process in conversation with the night's host Tara Kumar – including their trip to Cognac in France, following in the footsteps of Hennessy's Cork-born founder.
As well as honouring Richard Hennessy, last night's party served as an opportunity to salute Irish art, music and culture – carrying on Hennessy's long-standing tradition of supporting avant-garde art and contemporary street culture, in Ireland and beyond.

Guests in the stunning Round Room – which was colourfully kitted out for the occasion in an immersive tribute to the Founder's Edition artwork – enjoyed expertly crafted Hennessy cocktails and gourmet food, while Irish hip-hop heavy-hitter Mango supplied the tunes behind the decks.
The original six-foot-by-ten-foot artwork – a vibrant blend of 'then and 'now', thanks to both artist's unique styles and contributions – was also on display. The piece will go on to hold pride of place upon the walls of Killavullen, the Cork home of Richard Hennessy.
The Hennessy Founder’s Edition (RSP €41) is available nationwide now.
