The event will feature art galleries and performances over the course of two days.
'Sheltered Charity Through the Arts,' an art exhibition benefiting those experiencing homelessness in Ireland, opens 8 and 9 November in the Copper House Gallery, in aid of the Peter McVerry Trust.
"We aim to raise awareness and much-needed funds to help combat adult homelessness and families in crisis in Ireland, especially in the lead up to the Christmas period," the organizers explained in a press release. "The event is donation based and will bring together a collective of established and up-and-coming artists to showcase their work. In addition to the art, there will be musicians, poets, spoken word and guest speakers over the course of the 2 days."
The exhibit will be open to the public on Friday, 8 November from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Saturday, 9 November from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will also be an after-party taking place at the Hendrick Hotel in Smithfield on Saturday night. The hotel is offering special rates for those traveling to Dublin for the event.
