Irish superstar becomes American designer's muse
One of Ireland's most beloved musicians has become the face of fashion designer John Varvatos' Autumn/Winter ad campaign.
John Varvatos is a luxury and high end fashion designer based in the United States. He described how Hozier came to become the focus of his new collection:
“I had a connection when I first heard his song ‘Take Me to Church', I call him a renaissance man. He’s a young man who looks at the world, at all the things that are happening, and how people are treated. He’s a bit of a poet, and he’s a very handsome guy. All the boxes kind of checked. He was already a customer and was such a pleasure to work with.”
On top of modelling Varvatos' new line, Hozier also recorded a live acoustic performance of his song 'To Be Alone'. This is to accompany the campaign image and is inspired by Bob Dylan's live concert performances of the '60s and '70s.

This was all revealed in a cryptic tweet last night where Hozier showed a trailer for his acoustic performance and simply said "Got something cool to share with you tomorrow".
