The introduction of Captain Marvel was teased in Infinity War's post-credit sequence, implying she will play a big role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) going forward.

Jude Law and Ben Mendelsohn will also star in Captain Marvel, along with returning MCU cast Samuel L. Jackson, Clark Gregg, Lee Pace and Djimon Hounsou.
Last week, MCU head Kevin Feige while promoting the upcoming Ant-Man and the Wasp revealed to SlashFilm that de-aging technology will be used in Captain Marvel to portray younger versions of Jackson's Nick Fury and Gregg's Agent Coulson.
Captain Marvel is the first Marvel film to be directed and scored by a woman. Filmmaking duo Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck (Mississippi Grind) will be behind the camera while Pinar Toprak (Krypton) will compose the music.
