As it seems, the eager awaited Deadpool sequel will start shooting in a not too distant future.
It was about a year ago, when the comic book adaption of Deadpool, which was awaited by fans with high expectations, hit the cinemas. And it didn’t fail to meet those expectations: The American superhero movie, starring Ryan Reynolds, not only grossed nearly $800 million on the global box office, but also was a huge hit with the critics.
While the follow-up movie was already ordered before the distributors 20th Century Fox could possibly know what a success the Deadpool would become; now a precise shooting date has been revealed.
According to a listing on My Entertainment World, Deadpool 2 will start shooting on May 1, 2017 in Vancouver. My Entertainment World has become an increasingly reliable source for film dates recently, where the movie is currently listed under the working title “Love Machine”. So even though there is no official conformation about the production plans yet, the sequel can be expected to begin filming in only a few months!
And although not many details for Deadpool 2 has been revealed so far, it’s already known that Fox and the creative team are looking for a cast for the roles of the time-traveller Cable and his lover Domino, also that Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who wrote the first movie, are working on a script for the sequel now.

But there have been changes in the creative team, too. Last year the first movie’s director, Tim Miller, surprisingly announced that he would drop out of production, apparently because of “creative differences” with Ryan Reynolds. David Leitch (John Wick) will now take his place and helm Deadpool 2.
The release date for the Deadpool sequel has to be revealed yet, but assuming that the report on My Entertainment World is true, fans could expect a release in 2018.
