There was only €150 between Dublin Oldschool and fifth place
Acclaimed Irish film Dublin Oldschool grossed over €30,933 this weekend according to figures released by Scannain, placing it sixth in the Irish weekend box office.
The first three spots went to sequels Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (€118,667), Ocean’s 8 (€99,123) and Sicario 2: Soldado (€52,383). Meanwhile, disaster film Adrift came fourth (€39,826) and comedy Tag (€31,083) rounded out the top five.
There was only €150 between Tag and Dublin Oldschool.
Based from a play by writer and star Emmet Kirwan, Dublin Oldschool is director Dave Tynan’s debut feature. It also stars Seána Kerslake (Can’t Cope Won’t Cope), Sarah Greene (Penny Dreadful) and Mark O’Halloran (Adam & Paul).

Reviews for the film have been very positive. Hot Press’s own critic Roe McDermott called it ‘consistently uproarious’ giving it 4.5/5 stars.
