Multi award-winning illusionist Derren Brown will be bringing an exciting new set of tricks to Dublin next month.
World renowned illusionist Derren Brown will be bringing his new one man show to the Gaiety Theatre on April 12th-16th.
In SHOWMAN, Brown will once again astound audiences with his feats of hypnotism and psychic prowess. Brown, who claims to have no actual magic powers, uses a mix of body language reading, cognitive psychology, subliminal messaging, and misdirection to achieve his tricks.
Since his first television series in 2000, the UK native has hosted several television events in which he has played Russian roulette live on air, convinced people that they have died, and seemingly predicted a winning lottery number.
His live shows Svengali and Something Wicked This Way Comes both won the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Entertainment. His Broadway debut also won the New York Drama Desk Award for Unique Theatrical Experience.
The details of Brown's new show are a closely guarded secret but he has given some indication of what the show may feature.

“All I can reveal at this point is that the show will ultimately be about you, the audience member, because that’s what I find most interesting. There are places I’d like to take you where we haven’t been before. I always aim to have it deliver more than you’d expect. I’m excited to be at the starting point of that process. Getting it on the road will be my favorite part of the year.”
Derren Brown’s new theatrical experience SHOWMAN will be at the Gaiety Theatre Dublin April 12th to 16th and at the Grand Opera House Belfast on April 19th to 23rd. Tickets are available here.
