With music from Negro Impacto, R.Kitt, Ye Vagabonds, Aoife Wolf and more, IMMA's two-day summer party is set to have an electric atmosphere.
IMMA's much anticipated 'Continuous Patterns' returns on July 15 and 16 to bring a two-day summer celebration of music, art, delicious food and drinks to the Royal Hospital Kilmainham.
Today, IMMA have announced the line-up for the upcoming event, which showcases a selection of artists at the cutting edge of contemporary Irish culture across a wide range of genres.
Friday, July 15th presents an evening of future-focused live music on the Courtyard and Terrace stages with performances from exciting emerging R'n'B act Jar Jar Jr, Negro Impacto, and Éfe, a unique collaboration from the exhilarating and elegant pairing of pop sensation Æ MAK and the renowned contemporary ensemble Glasshouse, and closing out the evening in electrifying fashion, R.Kitt.
Saturday brings psych-folk artist Aoife Wolf, the folk stylings of emerging Cork songwriter O Deer, Ukulele collective Rugs, Stomptown Brass, and a special performance from Ye Vagabonds in collaboration with composer and multi-instrumentalist Gareth Quinn Redmond.
As they return with their third album, Nine Waves, Ye Vagabonds reflected on the “inherently non-hierarchical” nature of folk music, the scene’s anarchist ties in Dublin, refugee solidarity, and their deep connection to Arranmore Island with Hot Press last week.
Each evening the terrace bar will be soundtracked by various DJ sets, radio personalities Claire Beck and Donal Dineen, emerging Japanese /Irish selector Emmy Shigeta and the breezy sounds of the Desert Island Disco crew.
