Incredibles 2 Release Bumped Up, Toy Story 4 Pushed Back
Pixar's most highly requested sequel is happening. The most likely sequel might not happen as soon as you like.
The Incredibles, Brad Bird's great film about a family of superheroes that isn't the Fantastic Four, but shares many similarities. One of the best superhero films, period, many hoped for a sequel, since the setting is ripe for expansion. Well, we now know when the movie will release on 15 June 2018. It's taken this long for a sequel to crystallize, but it's a good idea for Pixar teams to take their time. Last time they took their time to really flesh out a film, we got Inside Out.
Toy Story 4 has moved back to 21 June 2019, a year later. In all likelihood, John Lasseter is so busy executive producing all of Disney and Pixar's animated films, it's probably difficult for him to find time for a new Toy Story. Not that we mind. The last one had a good ending, and it seems like it would be difficult to make a worthy successor to the franchise. That's just our take, though.
