Having come up through the YouTube ranks herself, Californian comic Colleen Ballinger stars in Haters Back Off, a whipsmart comedy about an incredibly confident, totally untalented wannabe pop star whose videos go viral for all the wrong reasons. Available now on Netflix, the ten-parter also has the supreme good taste to feature Angela Kinsey who played uptight, bible-bashing accountant Angela Martin in the Stateside version of The Office.
We generally spurn E! like other people spurn rabid dogs, but we’re delighted to hear that as of November 15 they’ll be airing The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon just 24 hours after it goes out in the States.
With Letterman retired, Conan’s mojo seemingly beyond repair and James Corden far too pleased with himself these days, the New Yorker is our go-to chatmeister at the moment.

There’s a double-whammy of new foreign crime drama from Walter Presents. Available now for your free Channel4.com bingeing pleasure are Framed, a Dutch series in which a software consultant’s idyllic life goes disastrously wrong when somebody steals his identity, and Inspector Borowski, a hard-boiled cop romp which has topped the ratings in its native Germany.
Inside The Box is suitably underwhelmed that Dynasty and Magnum P.I. are to be the subject of respective CW and ABC re-bootings. While both have a certain kitschy ‘70s charm, it shows a complete lack of imagination at a time when TV is generally upping the creative ante. -
