The Reading & Leeds festival will take place again over the August bank holiday weekend in 2023. Irish rock band Inhaler and Belfast electronic maestros Bicep have just been announced as part of next year’s lineup.
Headlining the upcoming festival are Billie Eilish, Sam Fender, Lewis Capaldi, Imagine Dragons, Foals and The Killers. Eilish, who at 20 years old, has become the youngest solo artist to headline the Reading & Leeds festivals.
Inhaler, who will return to the festivals’ stages after their debut in 2021, played to an audience of around 200,000 members. The rising band, originally from Dublin, have already amassed a staunch following and plethora of success in their early years.
Having cranked at number 5 in 2019 BBC Radio1’s Sound Of… and their debut album, It Won't Always Be Like This entered the Irish Album Charts at number one in 2021. The group has also recently announced news of their upcoming album, Cuts and Bruises, which is due to drop 17th February 2023.
Belfast-born, London-based duo Bicep (Matt McBriar and Andy Ferguson) released their critically acclaimed second album, Isles, on 22 January 2021 on Ninja Tune. The record reached No.2 in the Official UK & Irish Album Charts, with the duo going on to be nominated for two BRIT Awards - an incredible achievement for an independent electronic act. Catch their St Patrick's Day show at the 3Arena next year for a scorcher set.
