After the 7.8 level earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria, Irish artists have banded together to raise funds in support of rescue contributions.
Since the earthquake in Turkey and Syria over a week ago, the death toll has risen beyond 40,000. Millions more are left without essentials, like food and water, and face homelessness. Rescue efforts remain ongoing.
Joining other humanitarian contributions, Ireland's artistic community have answered the call in a compassionate act of solidarity to help support survivors and rescue efforts.
Organised by Hang Tough Editions from Hang Tough Studios in Portobello, Dublin, the "Mystery Tube Sale" is a collaborative effort of over 80 artists to raise money in support of the Turkey-Syria crisis.
“A large cross section of the Irish visual arts community has rallied together to create an opportunity for members of the public to support those impacted by last week’s devastating earthquake in Turkey and Syria," event organiser, Michael "Rubio" Hennigan said.
"Participate in this unique sale that offers not just beautiful fine art prints which typically cost hundreds of euros each," he encouraged, "but also direct humanitarian aid towards these stricken nations."
Each tube, cost only costing €50, will contain one mysterious poster. All profits will go through the Irish Red Cross, providing crucial humanitarian support.

Some of the artists that have donated prints to the project include Alice Fitzgerald, Blaise Drummond, Shirley Copperwhite, Ishmael Claxton, Karma Shawa, Kym Tracey, Helen O’Sullivan, Kate O’Neill, Owen De Forge and Season Daily.
Every print is, rest assured, of the highest quality. They've also all been signed, numbered, and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
The "Mystery Tube Sale" will run until March 7th or until supplies run out.
