The Migos rapper and boohooMan present the biggest collaboration of the season.
Following the phenomenal success of their first collaboration, global online retailer boohooMan and Migos star Quavo have announced a second co-designed, limited edition collection – just in time for summer.
"The success of the first drop was huge," says Samir Kamani, CEO of boohooMAN. "After persistent demand from our consumers and Huncho's fans, Quavo and I knew we had to drop a part 2."
Keeping in line with the core of streetwear, and creatively led by the Atlanta-born rapper/songwriter/producer, the full collection boasts simple silhouettes and popping graphics in fresh, fun colourways – all inspired by the iconic Huncho style.
The second collaboration is set to launch globally on boohooMAN.com on April 8, and will include everything from must-have matching sets to mix-and-match full looks – plus co-ordinating accessories in stylish bandana prints, trendy tie-dye and classic acid wash. The eclectic collection contains a total of 100 items, ranging from €10 to €70, with everything from distressed denim to bold and bright sweat sets – and even matching face masks.
"Collaborating with boohooMAN is special because they just really are the first team that let me open my creative mind-set and just bring my ideas to life," Quavo says of the collection. "When I met the team they were young and represented the culture so I thought, ok, we can collaborate and do something special. I’m happy for it to come around again. This time it’s better!"
Bringing it back to Los Angeles, where the first collaboration with Quavo was shot, the concept is an elevated expansion of the Season 1 campaign. Pastel hues juxtapose the raw bold graffiti art created by LA-born street artist NervOne.
Keeping in line with the global brand ethos of providing accessible, trend-forward fashion, boohooMAN continues to appeal to a broad audience of stylish young men with this second collaborative collection with Quavo.
“Working on this second drop with Quavo came so naturally to all involved," says Shane Chin, Head of Design at boohooMAN. "Quavo has a really distinctive style, so despite the majority of it being striking, it is ultimately all very wearable, which is what we do best – provide products that speak to the uniqueness in us all.”
Initially bursting onto the mainstream in 2013 as a member of ground-breaking hip-hop trio Migos, Quavo has played a defining role in plotting the future path of the genre. As a solo artist, the Atlanta rapper has featured on four singles that peaked with the top 10 of the US Billboard Hot 100 – including a standout appearance on DJ Khaled's 'I'm The One', which also featured Justin Bieber, Chance The Rapper and Lil Wayne. Quavo's debut solo studio album, Quavo Huncho, which featured guest appearances from the likes of Drake, Madonna and Cardi B, reached No.2 on the Billboard 200.
2020 is set to be another landmark month for Quavo – with Migos' Culture III, the highly anticipated follow-up to 2018's Culture II, expected in the coming months.
