The video blogger usually shares intimate details of her life with her half million subscribers on YouTube, but Melanie Murphy confesses that she found it was easier to write down rather than talk about suffering a miscarriage.
She has bravely written about the major ordeal of suffering a miscarriage at only 19-years-old in a new book released this week.
She also talks about her toxic relationship with fellow YouTube star Tobuscus/Toby Turne who was accused of sexually assaulting two previous girlfriends last year.
The allegations prompted Melanie to make a YouTube video last year to deny that she had ever been assaulted by Toby, but she also admitted in the same video that they had an "open relationship", adding she wasn't "respected" by him.
“There were certain things I’ve tried to talk about on camera before that I found a bit too difficult so it was easier to write that stuff down," the 28-year-old told the Irish Sun.
"I just feel like that book is a lot more valuable than some of my videos on some of those topics.
“Some of the most difficult ones were talking about my miscarriage, and talking about sexual assault and consent, because they are things that I just don’t feel that comfortable talking about.
“I find them hard to address. All these things are things that most young women experience. I don’t think my experiences are unique in anyway.
“I did question should I or should I not, but it’s one of those things that I think so many people go through.
“I just felt, not responsible, but I should do my utmost to add value to this book by being as open and completely honest about things.”
