The Inbetweeners star Greg Davies says rebooting the show is "not an option"
Davies also reckons he'll never play a teacher again.
If you thought Mr Davies couldn't rain on any more parades, he just has.
Greg Davies, who played the irascible teacher, put questions of an Inbetweeners revival to bed when he was asked about it at the premiere of the new season of Man Down.
"I loved being in The Inbetweeners but it's reached a natural conclusion", he said. He added that he'd never thought about returning to it "because I know it's not an option. I don't think it's going to happen."
Davies then got sociological. "I feel that happens a lot with British comedies. They're short-lived but make a big impression. We're used to American comedies where you blink and suddenly there's been 150 episodes of The Big Bang Theory but it's a different system here."
Meanwhile, Joe Thomas doesn't share Davies' sense of finality.
"We could do the originals 10 years down the line, married with kids. I mean, we can do that now. I would jump at any chance to work with those guys again – in any context, really," he said.
While you reach for a tissue to dry your tears from the news, here's a recap of the show's funniest moments:
