Jack White kicks off his tour in Detroit with on-stage marriage to his musician girlfriend, Olivia Jean.
Detroit concertgoers were witness to the surprise wedding of Jack White and Olivia Jean during the encore of Friday night's performance. The marriage between the two artists took place at the Masonic Temple in White's hometown.
At the end of the show, Jack called his girlfriend on stage to cover 'Hotel Yorba' - a song written with ex-wife, Meg White, of the White Stripes. He pops the question right before singing the song's lyrics, "Let's get married." The pair exit the stage to return for the ceremony just minutes later.
"It's been such a great day, mind if we get married right now?" White asks the crowd.
The nuptials were ordained by Third Man Records co-owner Ben Blackwell and flanked by Jack and Olivia's bassists as best man and maid of honour.

Jean was present as the singer/guitarist of the Black Belles, the show's opening act. The all-female goth rock group had signed with Third Man Records back in 2009.
Friday's show was the first stop of White's Supply Chain Issues tour. This tour supports the prolific artist's newly released album Fear of the Dawn. He plans on releasing Entering Heaven Alive in July, his second record of the year.
