Join The Scratch for an unforgettable online gig on December 23 – and enjoy The Spirit Of Christmas! 3 Venues, 3 Acts, 3 Tunes from where we call Home!
The Scratch are among the incredible acts set to play Jameson Connects' The Spirit Of Christmas – an epic online music experience, straight to your living room – on December 23.
Few acts embody the wild and utterly unpredictable spirit of Irish music quite like The Scratch, who will be taking over the renowned music bar and venue The Cobblestone. Embracing a wonderful absurdity and musical anarchy in equal measure, the Dublin-based four-piece have garnered legions of devotees off the back of their famously raucous shows. The Scratch continued to blur the boundaries between folk and metal in their own wildly unique way on their acclaimed debut album Couldn't Give A Rats – released earlier this year.
"With Couldn’t Give A Rats, the band have crafted one of the boldest Irish debuts of recent memory – expanding their sound and vision, while still holding onto the wild impulses that mark The Scratch as one of the country’s most spectacularly original talents," Lucy O'Toole wrote in her review of the album for Hot Press. Read the full review here.
The Scratch also recently contributed to the Hot Press 'Rave On Van Morrison' series – with a remarkable, high-energy rendition of 'Sweet Thing'.
As part of Jameson Connects' The Spirit Of Christmas, you can expect three incredible performances – from James Vincent McMorrow, Saint Sister & Lisa Hannigan, and The Scratch – straight to your living room!
