An eccentric weirdo portrays an eccentric weirdo.
This could be pretty big. Andy Warhol was one of the preeminent artists of the 20th century, a leader in the pop art movement, and an influential figure in the punk rock scene. Warhol and his ilk were partially responsible for the blurring lines of so-called "highbrow" and "lowbrow" art, celebrating the ordinary and the mundane.
Jared Leto is set to star and co-produce the Andy Warhol biopic. He will be joined by Moneyball producer Michael De Luca. The film will be directed by Terence Winter, best known as the creator of Boardwalk Empire and writer for The Wolf of Wall Street.

Leto's immediate future in Hollywood looks good. He recently played a tattooed version of the Joker in Suicide Squad, stirring up controversy for his behind-the-scenes antics, which included leaving his co stars used condoms, dead animals, and making everyone refer to him as, "Mr. J." In addition to his upcoming role as the famed pop artist, he will also play in the upcoming Blade Runner sequel, though details are scarce.
