The quick-witted British comedian is returning to Dublin to play The Olympia Theatre in 2020.
Save the date. Funnyman, Jimmy Carr is bringing his new tour, “Terribly Funny” to Dublin. It will be over two years until Dublin fans can see The Big Fat Quiz of the Year and 8 Out of 10 Cats presenter in action but promoters, MCD, are insisting it will be worth the wait:
“Jimmy’s brand-new show contains jokes about all kinds of terrible things, the things that might have affected you or people you know and love. But they’re just jokes – not the terrible things.” Adding, “Having political correctness at a comedy show is like having health and safety at a rodeo.”
The prolific stand-up comedian, who holds both British and Irish citizenship, announced the shows earlier this morning. Carr, who was part of a host of celebrities to attend Princess Eugenie’s star-studded royal wedding this month, has played Dublin countless times over the years. He most recently performed five sold out shows at the Olympia Theatre in September.

During that time, he has played nearly 2,000 shows to millions of fans across four continents along with winning The British Comedy Award for ‘Best Live Stand-Up Tour’ in 2006 and a nomination for the prestigious Perrier Award in 2002.
You have been warned. Tickets for The Olympia Theatre on December 4, 2020 from €34.50 including booking fee and restoration levy will go on sale Friday October 26 at 9am on TicketMaster.ie
