Artists from the record label founded by the late John Prine will be hitting major UK & EU cities June, with a Dublin date set for The Workman’s Club on June 22nd.
Oh Boy Records, founded by the late John Prine in 1981, has announced a UK and EU tour packed with music from some of their most prolific artists including Arlo McKinley, Emily Scott Robinson, and Kelsey Waldon. A Dublin date is set for The Workman’s Club on June 22nd.
The tour is also set to stop in London, Manchester, Glasgow, Hamburg, and Amsterdam. Arlo McKinley will be arriving in the UK for the first time to perform songs from his debut album Die Midwestern. The critically acclaimed album tells the story of McKinley's own struggles to reach a full time music career with a rustic mix of soul and country sounds.
Also joining the tour will be Kentucky songwriter Kelsey Waldon. She previously toured Europe alongside John Prine and is currently recording with Shooter Jennings for her next album. On this new tour, Waldon will be performing songs from her latest album White Noise/White Lines. One of the album’s singles, ‘Kentucky, 1988’ was named by Rolling Stone as the #1 country and Americana song of 2019.
Colorado singer Emily Scott Robinson will be bringing songs from her critically acclaimed first album American Siren. With her colourful mix of bluegrass, country, and folk, the soprano singer showcases her incredible talent as a musical storyteller.

Since its foundation 41 years ago, Oh Boy Records has become a distinguished institution in American country music. The Nashville-based label has released music from the likes of John Prine, Dan Reeder, Todd Snider, and Kris Kristofferson. To this day, the label is still run by members of the Prine family.
"Oh Boy is such a part of Nashville that I want the rest of the country, I want the rest of the world to feel the pride that we feel for this label," says vice president of marketing Eileen Tilson. "The fact that this label is 40 years old and still putting out great music is something I hope continues for the next 40 years."
