This year's music showcase and festival will be launched by Minister for Culture, Heritage & the Gaeltacht Josepha Madigan.
Hard Working Class Heroes 2018 will host 42 delegates from 15 different countries to take part in the events running over the weekend of 27th - 29th September. This will include managers, labels, agents, publishers, bookers, buyers and many more.
Following the announcement that she would launch the event, Madigan said, “The presence of so many bookers, agents and publishers here again at this year’s showcase and conference is a testament to the talent we have in this country. This event is so important as with international delegates supported by Culture Ireland of my Department, the touring and career opportunities for our musicians both at home and abroad can be further advanced”.
Things will kick off on Thursday afternoon with Business to Business presentations followed by networking events that evening at the Chocolate Factory, giving Irish artists the opportunity to come together with Irish and International industry delegates.
Louise McSharry will be broadcasting live from the opening night with RTE2FM while the live showcases, including 50 acts from diverse genres, will take place over Friday 28th and Saturday 29th September.
