Junk Kouture has also launched five international locations in London, New York, Paris, Milan, and the UAE.
Nadine Maguire, an alum of Junk Kouture, has become the face of Climate Week NYC, appearing as part of a poster campaign in the city.
In these posters, Maguire can be seen wearing her design 'Paper Doll,' which was created during her Junk Kouture competition and first modelled during this year's televised Junk Kouture final broadcast on RTÉ.
This poster campaign is part of Junk Kouture's global expansion. Junk Kouture, the competition and platform that promotes youth expression, empowerment, and sustainability by encouraging young people to create couture from everyday junk, will now also take place in London, New York, Milan, Paris, and the UAE.
Each location will have their own finals before the Junk Kouture World Final in 2022.
"We are delighted to be launching in our new locations around the globe – and we are just getting started," said Troy Armour, CEO of Junk Kouture. "It has been amazing to have so many of our talented alumni with us on this journey too, showcasing their creativity to the world in some of the most iconic landmarks worldwide. It just goes to show that joining the Junk Kouture community opens up a world of possibility."
