Just Mustard's sophomore album Heart Under is set to arrive on 27th May via Partisan.
Irish outfit Just Mustard have shared the brand new video for 'Mirrors', with the track acting as the latest taster from Heart Under.
The ominous single embodies a powerful sense of tension and progression, quietly raw but effortlessly enchanting.
Heart Under was primarily recorded at Attica Studios in Donegal, with additional recording and post-production completed at home. The album was produced by the band and mixed by David Wrench, whose previous collaborators include Frank Ocean, Let’s Eat Grandma, Jamie xx, and FKA twigs.
Speaking about the single, the band’s David Noonan explains: “‘Mirrors’ was one of the final songs to be written for Heart Under, the lyrics and music arrived together in what felt like one moment and we wanted to keep the feeling of one thought or moment constant throughout the song.”
The track follows on from previous previews ‘Still’ and ‘I Am You’, and lands alongside stunning underwater-blurred visuals directed by Dylan Friese-Greene.

The album's title, Heart Under, comes from the lyric “the heart under its foot” from album track ‘Sore'. Throughout the recording process, the band discussed the idea of "wanting the listener to feel like they’re on a train going through a tunnel."
“This album felt very blue to us,” Ball resumes. “There was sadness and sorrow in the album, and it felt like being underwater and under something very heavy. We let that influence the music, but it wasn’t a decision – it just naturally happened that way.”
Just Mustard have also announced a special run of record store performances around the UK in May and June.
The rising buzz band will also play headline shows across Ireland, the UK and Europe in the summer and autumn - supporting Fontaines D.C. on their European jaunt.
