Weaver had to be escorted away by staff after two members of the climate protest group Just Stop Oil made their way onto the stage. Watch the video below.
Two Just Stop Oil protesters have been arrested after storming the stage at the Theatre Royal in Drury Lane during Sigourney Weaver's performance.
Weaver had to be escorted away after protesters climbed onto the stage, with the audience responding with both boos and cheers amid the disruption.
They were holding a big sign that said "Over 1.5 degrees is a Global Shipwreck". The interruption started as they fired a confetti canon with a voice in the background saying: "We'll have to stop the show, ladies and gentlemen, sorry."
The sign references the finding that 2024 was the warmest year on record, with temperatures surpassing the internationally agreed target of 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels.
A Just Stop Oil press release identified the two protesters as 42-year-old Hayley Walsh and 60-year-old Richard Weir.

They were arrested for suspicion of aggravated trespass after attending a central London police station on Tuesday, where they then remained in custody.
In a statement released by the group, Walsh express her concern for her children's future: "I can't sleepwalk them into a future of food shortages, life-threatening storms and wars for resources,"
Weir added: "We're already seeing the damage this crisis is doing to crops, homes and entire neighbourhoods.
"Unless we come together and demand a move away from fossil fuels by 2030, we will go the same way as manufacturing in the UK."
Just Stop Oil posted about the incident on their social medias. See the post and the video below:
