Leicester rockers Kasabian will make their big Irish return this autumn, announcing a Belfast show at the Telegraph Building on October 20th and a Dublin outing at the 3Olympia Theatre on October 21st.
It's been five years since the band's last Dublin show. The news comes as the band prepare for the release of their seventh album The Alchemist’s Euphoria on August 5th.
Kasabian took the British press by storm in the early 2000s by mixing traces of the Stone Roses, Happy Mondays, and Primal Scream with Oasis-sized confidence and DJ Shadow-influenced electronics. Named after Linda Kasabian, Charles Manson's getaway driver-turned-state witness, the English group moved into a remote farmhouse to brew their music.
The band released their eponymous debut in 2004, Kasabian expanded that sound on later albums, but the band's foundation remained rooted in fragmented dance textures and boisterous rock & roll. The approach was well-received; the group went to the top of the UK album chart for the first time with 2006's Empire, and their sixth album, For Crying Out Loud, became their fifth straight number one when it arrived in 2017.
With tracks such as ‘Fire’, ‘Underdog’, ‘LSAF’ and ‘You’re In Love With A Psycho’, Kasabian have soundtracked the lives of a generation of music fans across the world.

With new album The Alchemist’s Euphoria, the band are ready to start a new chapter and kickstart a whole new Kasabian era. Previewed singles include the most recent 'CHEMICALS', as well as 'SCRIPTVRE' and 'ALYGATYR'.
Serge Pizzorno took over as frontman after the band fired Tom Meighan for his domestic abuse conviction two years ago.
The guitarist explained the meaning behind 'CHEMICALS,' highlighting that: “It is me telling myself that it is going to be ok."
“It was me seeing myself in those few weeks when everything kicked off. It’s the future me saying to that person: ‘This is shit, but don’t worry, it will get better.’ So having a song about talking to yourself is universal, I think. We all have to find a way to deal with the complications, the mess, and the mortality of life,” he said.
