The live podcast will be recorded on July 24, with all proceeds going to the freedom flotilla for their work in Gaza.
The Katie Halper Show is set to visit Ireland for a special taping in front of a live audience at The Fumbally Stables in Dublin 8 on July 24.
Titled The Ireland and Palestine Connection, the podcast’s special taping will welcome guests Tadhg Hickey, Danny Mossison and Asad Abushark, as well as music by Aziz Abushark and Seán Mulrooney, with all proceeds going to Gaza Freedom Flotilla Coalition Ireland.
New York journalist, filmmaker and podcaster, Halper is most known for her podcast and YouTube show The Katie Halper Show, which has already included guests such as Noam Chomsky, Susan Sarandon, Rashid Khalidi, Roger Waters and more. She is also a member of Jewish Voice for Peace.
In 2022, American daily news and opinion web series The Hill’s Rising refused to air a segment in which Halper called Israel an "apartheid government", before firing her from the show.
Special guest Asad Abushark is an academic, long time university professor, one of the founding members of BDC movement-Gaza/Palestine, human rights and right of return activist and writer, as well as the international spokesperson of the Great March of Return.

Cork comedian, actor, writer and musician Tadhg Hickey is also set to join the show’s live taping. His political satire has amassed 100 million views online, as well as a global social media following.
He has written, directed and starred in an array of TV work for RTÉ, including the sitcom The School. He is a notable and vocal advocate for Palestinian justice and has participated in round table discussions on Gaza.
The show’s third guest, Danny Morrison, is an Irish writer, an editor and publisher, and a political and cultural commentator. He has written novels, a memoir and several non-fiction books, as well as editing several collaborations. He is a former republican prisoner and is Secretary of the Bobby Sands Trust.
Finally, musical guests Aziz Abushark, a Palestinian musician from Gaza who will be playing Palestinian folklore songs, and Seán Mulrooney, who will be playing his anthem for Palestine ‘No Two Sides', which called out the genocide, will also be joining the live taping.
