Bodhran Botherers Besiege Boozer
Starting tonight, in the front bar of the venerable Wexford Street noise shop, fans of a bit of dynamited diddley-eye - the Bo Diddley-eye if you will - can get their fill, in more ways than one. The Kíla Sessions, brought to you in association with those absolute artisans over at O'Hara's Beers, are set to take over Tuesday nights like a ravenous hoard of culchies descending on Henry Street in December.
Here's what they're saying:
"Fresh from a whirlwind 2018 celebrating their 30th year, world famous Irish band Kíla take a break from their hectic touring schedule to bring you a more intimate musical experience.
Every Tuesday between 7.30-9.30 different members of Kila will come together for an informal session in Whelan’s front window. Expect special guests and an eclectic mix of tunes and songs.
It's sure to become the best session in Dublin of a Tuesday night.
FREE ENTRY"
We should note here the reference "different members of Kíla will come together for an informal session". This is simply a matter of logistics. If the whole lot of them turned up at the one time, there'd be no room for punters. Mind you, the price is right. You'd even be willing to suffer Brian Hogan's d'Artagnan impression (see picture).

In all seriousness though, they're national treasures, so anything with the Kíla imprimatur on it is cause for celebration, and pints are great, so this sounds like a winner.
Remember! Say Diddley-Aye, not Diddley-Nay!
