With 14 total nominations, Killing Eve dominates this year's television BAFTA nominations.
From creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge, BBC's Killing Eve was a standout drama of 2018, finding massive popularity and acclaim in its quirky mix of thrills and comedy. The chemistry between the two leads, portrayed by Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer, drew particular buzz to the show. Both Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer scored Best Leading Actress nominations. Killing Eve also received nominations for Best Drama, as well as nods in Best Supporting Actor and Actress for Kim Bodnia and Fiona Shaw respectively. Competing for Best Drama are counter-terrorism drama Informer, mystery series Save Me and popular hit Bodyguard.
Following behind Killing Eve's 14 nominations, A Very English Scandal received 12 nominations, including Best Mini-Series, Best Lead Actor, Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress. Derry Girls, landed a Best Scripted Comedy nomination for its genuine and laugh out loud portrayal of growing up in 90s Derry.
