The Queer History Tours of Kilmainham Gaol will take place on Saturday 22 June and look at LGBTQIA+ stories connected with the prison.
The Office of Public Works run Kilmainham Gaol has announced that it will host two Queer History tour of Kilmainham as part of the celebrations and commemorations of Pride month.
Running on Saturday June 10, there will be two tours one in the morning and one in the afternoon.
The morning tour will take place at 10am, while the afternoon tour will take place at 2pm. Both tour will run for an hour and a half.

While free of charge, both tours require advance booking ads spaces are limited.
The museum, which has been central to Irish republican history will focus these tours on queer individuals who were connected to both the prison and the struggle for Irish independence.
The guided tour were described by the museum as: "This queer history tour of Kilmainham Gaol focusing on the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people connected with the prison, including many who played a crucial role in the struggle for Irish Independence".
