Kojaque has announced a run of shows this winter across Ireland and the UK, following two packed out sets at Electric Picnic.
Dublin rapper Kojaque (Kevin Smith) has been steadily gaining recognition internationally and at home for his representation of day-to-day Dublin life in a style that mixes biting lyrics and quality production values. His subject matter focuses on the gritty, harsh and often mundane realities of life in a style that fuses hip-hop, jazz and poetic lyrics. This style reflects his wide range of influences that span from Stevie Wonder to MF DOOM. He has already produced a substantial body of work to-date both as co-founder of Softboy records and independently. Last February he released his debut album Deli Daydreams and garnered a reputation as a standout artist in the Irish music scene.
What makes Kojaque particularly stand out is his dedication to his art with one of his music videos featuring the rapper holding his breath for three minutes under water. An all round innovator, his music is filled with originality that translates to his videos and is sure to make a stunning live performance.
The headline show will be played at The Academy on December 6, 2018.
Tickets from €17.50 including booking fee will be on sale Friday September 7 at 10am from Ticketmaster.
