34-year-old Lesley Roy is hoping to add to Ireland's rich Eurovision history from the '90s at tonight's Semi Final.
Ireland's Eurovision hopeful Lesley Roy has reached an important milestone, with her 2021 entry 'Maps' accumulating over 1 million YouTube views.
'Maps' has also returned to the Irish Homegrown Chart Top Ten ahead of her Semi-Final performance at the Song Contest tonight, May 18.
The visuals for the infectiously catchy and uplifting song show Roy running through a forest - a theme which will be carried through to her Rotterdam performance.
'Maps' currently sits at number 7 in the Irish Homegrown Chart Top Ten, given the build-up of momentum for the Semi-Final.
The Dublin singer missed out on performing 'Story Of My Life' at last year's Eurovision due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
After Saturday's first rehearsal on stage in Rotterdam at the Ahoy arena, Roy expressed her excitement at finally performing the track live.

"I'm so excited after waiting so long to come and see everybody and to have our feet on the stage - I'm so happy. It's such a build-up to get to it. It feels great after the first rehearsal, the first time seeing it together. We have a few more things that we want to look at and tweak over the next few days, but I'm very happy with how that went."
You can watch The Eurovision Song Contest Semi-Finals on RTÉ2 and RTÉ Player tonight, May 18 and Thursday, May 20 at 8pm.
The Eurovision Song Contest Grand Final takes place on Saturday, May 22 at 8pm on RTÉ One.
